Yesterday we were lucky enough to go to Imax and The Melbourne Museum as part of our Inquiry Unit – First Contacts.
We saw Australia Land Beyond Time at Imax, which showcased what a unique country we live in and how it has changed over time. The movie featured some of Australia’s most remote regions – that very few people have ever visited.
The focus of our visit to the museum was the First Peoples exhibition. We were able to learn about many aspects of Aboriginal cultures to support the work we are doing in the classroom.
The other highlights of our museum visit included:
- The First Peoples exhibition
- Australia Land Beyond Time at the IMAX theatre
- The Melbourne Story
- Seeing the Pharlap display
- Forest Secrets
- The Dinosaur Walk
- The Wild exhibition
- The Marine Life area
- The Dynamic Earth displays
